Our service users were encouraged to participate in various kinds of community education and volunteer activities, which helped build up their community support system and facilitated their integration into the community. In the past year, the houses successfully secured funding from different sources, such as different District Social Welfare Offices of the Social Welfare Department, Yuen Long District Council, Yuen Long District Rehabilitation Services Coordinating Committee on Community Education Working Group, Kangen Water Hong Kong Limited Company and Crossroads Foundation. To promote community integration, the above mentioned resources were deployed to organize different kinds of community inclusion programmes, including "Rural Volunteering Programme in Mong Tseng Wai, Yuen Long", "Social Cohesion Tour", "Snapshotting of beautiful life", "Open Ceremony of International Day of Disabled Persons – Singing Show" and etc.
