Assistant Director (Planning & Development) (Ref: AD)
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Director and working in close collaboration with the other Assistant Director, the appointee will take a leadership role in advancing RFHK’s strategic planning, organizational development, and vocational service agenda. This position is central to strengthening the organization’s capacity, supporting service innovation, and ensuring long-term sustainability in delivering quality community mental health and vocational rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the overall planning and development of RFHK in alignment with its vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies that promote sustainable growth and continual service excellence across vocational rehabilitation and RFHK’s full range of services.
- Lead the development of corporate functions and special projects, including digital transformation, research, communications, and fundraising.
- Drive synergy across branding, IT, business development, and employment-related initiatives to expand opportunities in vocational services.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with government departments, NGOs, strategic partners, stakeholders, and the broader community.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director.
Requirements
- A recognised university degree in public administration, business studies, social work, or a related discipline, or above.
- At least eight years’ relevant post-graduate experience, including five years in a managerial role related to service development, programmed development, human resources, or finance management in the social work or related sector.
- Registration as a Social Worker under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap. 505) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to lead with synergy.
- Skilled in building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
- Strong people management, team building and staff coaching abilities.
- Experience and knowledge in digital transformation and AI application will be an advantage.
- Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
